SUFFOLK CARBON CHARTER AWARD TO BUCKLAND OMNIBUS CO LTD

Following our assessment last November by Groundwork and production of an Energy Report and Action Plan implemented in March this year, we were invited to apply for an appraisal to qualify for the Carbon charter accreditation.

We are pleased to announce we were given accreditation to the Suffolk Carbon Charter mark at Bronze level on 03.05.2011.

The Carbon charter is awarded to companies that are monitoring and reducing their carbon emisssions.

  

We already have in place strict monitoring of fuel consumption and performance, encouraging local schools, businesses and private hire to use our company thereby reducing 'dead' mileage. 

Drivers are all professionally trained in good practice.

Initially we are monitoring our energy action plan on a realistic level with a view to reducing carbon emissions by 3% by early 2013.

Hi, meet 'Ufton'

 

We are sponsoring Ufton who is six weeks old in this picture.   He is a Labrador cross golden retriever.  Dad is Camargo and Mum is Lotty.

Over the coming months Ufton will be training towards being a fully qualified guide dog.

Firstly he will learn to stop at a kerb to cope with busy rush hour traffic.
